Teaching – Our highly respected Undergraduate & Graduate programs offer a diverse choice of specializations, ranging from organic or conventional crop production to plant molecular and cellular biology.
Research – We investigate all stages of plant growth and development using classical and cutting-edge techniques; we develop new varieties through breeding and biotechnology; we seek solutions to current problems and develop new approaches to increase production and yield of fruits and vegetables.
Extension – We develop and provide research-based recommendations for technology transfer to the commercial fruit and vegetable industry and the home gardener through electronic resources, interactive workshops, and collaboration with county extension faculty.
